The visit organised by the Commercial Office together with the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) included among the conference; lectures, a visit to ‘Asuta’ - Israel’s largest and leading private medical services centre, one-to-one meetings, a visit to Merck Serono Israel R&D facilities and a tour of the old city of Jerusalem.

Additionally, Matthew Gould, the British Ambassador to Israel, hosted the UK delegates at a reception in his Residence in an event organised by UKTI and BIOTEC.

Ambassador Matthew Gould welcomed the guests commenting that, "across the spectrum of high tech activity: Bio-tech, Clean-tech and Digital, both Britain and Israel have something to offer to each other. Britain offers an impressive scientific base, high tech clusters and extraordinary customers across the range of tech activity. We can offer each other a partnership which ought to be much stronger and much more productive".
